Pennsylvania's supernatural riffers Crobot are coming to The Craufurd Arms this week, which is a real treat for music-lovers with a penchant for dirty groove rock.

And these guys do it exceptionally well.

When we mentioned riffs, we didn’t just throw that in lightly. These guys really subscribe to the phrase – and the quartet are working hard to do their bit to bring the riff back to the fore.

Hallelujah!

Crobot mix up a stellar amount of blues, funk, metal and classic rock n roll.

It means, the band promises, ‘they can rock at all tempos’.

A second album, a playmate for 2014’s Something Natural debut, is coming soon, with the band using Tuesday’s date to showcase the material that’s on its way.

Tickets for the show are £11 on the door with support offered up by The Bad Flowers and Dirty Thrills.

> It’s hardly the surprise of the week, but all tickets to see PiL at work at the Roadmender this Saturday night are sold out.
