Form, odds and stats ahead of MK Dons' game against Gillingham

Games at Gillingham's Priestfield Stadium have usually been ones to forget for MK Dons down the years.

Dons have picked up just four points from a possible 21 when the sides have met in Kent - arguably Dons' unhappiest hunting ground over the years.

Their only win came in March 2018 when George Williams scored the winner five minutes from time to get Dan Micciche's side out of the relegation zone, albeit only for the weekend.

Alex Gilbey scored Dons' goal of the season at Priestfield last season, but it would be in a 3-1 defeat to Steve Evans' side.

The sides could not be more similarly matched heading into Tuesday evening's encounter (kick-off at 6pm), with just a point and a position in League One separating them. Gillingham's form has seen them win two, lose two and draw one in their last five, sharing the spoils with Portsmouth at Fratton Park on Saturday.

Dons too drew 1-1 at the weekend, having had their hearts broken deep into stoppage time when Elliot Lee headed home for Oxford after Andrew Surman's first half goal looked to be enough to pick up the win. Three wins and a draw make up Dons' last five outings, with the only defeat coming against Shrewsbury last Tuesday night.

Sam Purkiss will take charge of the game, his 23rd game of the season. He has booked 53 and sent off eight players this season - including Swindon's Rob Hunt late in the day in his last Dons game when the sides met at the County Ground in December. Stephen Finch and Paul Kelly will run the lines, with Fourth Official Christopher Pollard.

Bookmakers have Dons at 31/20 to win, Gillingham are at 9/5 and 23/10 the draw.
