Currys PC World in Milton Keynes to open until 10pm tonight before lockdown

The electrical retailer is expecting a surge in demand for consumer tech products.
These are not classed as essential items, so Currys will be forced to close from from Thursday morning.

Hide AdIt will, however, remain open for its Order & Collect service.
Currys bosses say they have have "extensive precautions" in place to ensure the safety of both colleagues and customers tonight.
Throughout lockdown, the retailer is running a SHOPLIVE service to connects customers to a video chat with one of its tech experts, helping people work out the right tech option for them.
Mark Allsop, Chief Operating Officer at Currys PC World, said: “Access to home tech is absolutely vital – from white goods, kettles and toasters through to computing equipment. The first lockdown led to unprecedented demand for consumer electronics, including items such as home office equipment, enabling Brits to work effectively and comfortably from home. We are expecting similar demand this time round.”
